February 2009 - Concert for St Albans Cathedral Music Trust a huge success.  Held under the Tower Crossing, with candles and special lighting, the music of Eric Whitacre brought comments of “stunning” and “the best I’ve been to in the Abbey for 30 years”.  The concert saw the premiere of Nigel Short’s “A Song of St Alban” which received tremendous accolades.  Written specially for the concert, major music publishers are now interested in publishing the work.  Click here for the ‘review’ broadcast on Radio Verulam (link to Radio Verulam’s website).
 
 

 


June 2007 - Commencement of discussions with the “Prince’s Foundation” regarding a possible concert in Lincoln Cathedral in celebration of its Apprentices Week.
 

 
Spring 2007 - Discussions proceeding with the Henry Doubleday Research Association (known as “Garden Organic”) - the principal organic charity in the UK - to help celebrate their anniversary.
 
 


January 2007 - After the success of the initial concert, there were immediate calls to return.  The funds raised over the 2 concerts was taken to around £3,200.  The concert, “Gates of Mystery” gained media interest from BBC Radio Coventry & Warwickshire, Coventry Evening Telegraph and the “Warwickshire Life” magazine. Music included works by Tavener, Lauridsen and Poulenc, with the second half being a complete performance of the incredibly poignant choral masterpiece, Howells’ Requiem.  The concert was kindly sponsored by the Ramada Hotel & Suites, Coventry

 

November 2005 - Inaugural concert in Holy Trinity, Coventry - “Glimpses of Heaven”. Over £1,500 raised for Organ Fund. Live DVD produced to provide ongoing fundraising. Comments included “left me gasping in awe and wonder”. Programme included Lauridsen “O Magnum Mysterium”; Palestrina “Kyrie from Missa Papae Marcelli”; Harris “Bring us O Lord”. The concert was kindly sponsored by the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel
